BASEMENT WATER DAMAGE
Why are basements and crawl
spaces the usual suspects?
Because water goes down. Failed sump pumps, groundwater after a wet week, a water heater or supply line in the basement, a crawl space that sits near the water table. Much of this region drains toward the Green, Pond, and Tradewater rivers, and the low ground stays damp. Most homeowners find the problem by smell, which means it has been wet for a while.

WHAT TO KNOW
What does a wet crawl space do
to the rest of the house?
A crawl space breathes into the house above it. Damp air rises through the floor and raises humidity in every room, which is why a damp crawl space shows up as musty closets, sticking doors, and mold on the joists nobody looks at. Wet insulation between the joists holds moisture against the subfloor for months. Drying the crawl space is drying the house.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Will the water come back?
If the cause was a one-time failure, no. If the cause is groundwater, grading, or a sump pump that cannot keep up, yes, and drying the same basement every spring is not a plan. We will say so, and we will point you toward the right trade for the permanent fix. Doing what is right for the property owner is one of the four things this company is built on.
A new brand, not a new team. VetDry is owned by Anthony Brown, an Army infantry veteran who spent four and a half years managing two locations of a large national restoration franchise in Indiana. Production Manager Zachary Brown came up as a technician and production manager in franchise restoration. Together the team brings nearly 10 years of combined experience, plus working relationships with local insurance professionals, adjusters, and plumbers.
