STORM DAMAGE CLEANUP

What does storm damage cleanup actually cover?

The water. Rain through a damaged roof into the attic and ceilings, water through blown-out windows, groundwater and surface flooding into basements and crawl spaces, and the failed sump pump that always seems to happen the night of the storm. We extract, we dry, we remove what cannot be saved, and we document all of it for your carrier.

Roof tarping, tree removal, and rebuilding are separate trades. We will help you line them up, and we will coordinate so the drying does not wait on the roofer or the roofer on us.

WHAT TO KNOW

Why does storm water damage get worse after the storm passes?

Because it hides. Water that came through the roof runs along rafters and drops into insulation and ceiling drywall well away from where it entered. Water in a crawl space raises humidity through the whole house for weeks. By the time a stain shows on the ceiling, the attic above it has been wet for days. A moisture inspection after any storm that got inside is cheap insurance against a mold job later.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

What has western Kentucky been through?

Madisonville was hit by a tornado in November 2005 and lost power for weeks in the January 2009 ice storm. Dawson Springs and Princeton were struck by the violent tornado of December 10, 2021. Hopkinsville took an F3 in 2006 and an EF2 on New Year's Day 2022. The people who run VetDry live here, and the team's franchise restoration experience includes exactly this kind of work. We are built for the week after.
