Fire Damage Restoration in Madisonville, KY and Western Kentucky

A fire leaves three problems behind: the water the fire department used, the soot that traveled through the whole house, and the smell. VetDry handles all three so the rebuild starts clean.

FIRE DAMAGE RESTORATION

What happens to a house after the fire is out?

The fire department's job ends when the fire is out. The damage keeps going. Water from the hoses soaks floors and walls far from the fire. Soot is acidic and keeps etching metal, glass, and finishes for days. Smoke odor settles into anything porous: drywall, insulation, carpet, framing, and the contents of every closet. The first week after a fire decides how much of the house comes back.

WHAT TO KNOW

Why does soot need to come off quickly?

Soot is not dust. It is acidic residue that keeps working on surfaces after the fire. Within days it can permanently discolor grout, etch glass and chrome, and yellow finishes that would have wiped clean the first day. The order and method matter too. Dry soot smears into a stain if it is wiped wet. This is experienced work, and VetDry's team has done it inside a large national restoration franchise for years.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

What can you do right after a fire?

Do not go back in until the fire department clears it. Do not wipe soot off walls or run the HVAC, which spreads residue through every duct. Photograph what you can from the doorway. Call your carrier, and call us. We will talk you through what is safe to touch and what to leave alone.

A new brand, not a new team. VetDry is owned by Anthony Brown, an Army infantry veteran who spent four and a half years managing two locations of a large national restoration franchise in Indiana. Production Manager Zachary Brown came up as a technician and production manager in franchise restoration. Together the team brings nearly 10 years of combined experience, plus working relationships with local insurance professionals, adjusters, and plumbers.
