INSURANCE CLAIMS
What should you do first
after water or fire damage?
01
Stop the Damage
Shut off the water, keep people away from the fire area. Most policies expect you to prevent further loss, and calling a mitigation company is part of that.
02
Open the Claim and Take Photos
Call your carrier and open the claim. Get the claim number and the adjuster's name. Photograph everything before it gets cleaned up. We will photograph it again, in more detail, when we arrive.
03
Do Not Throw Anything Away Yet
Wet carpet, damaged furniture, and burned contents are evidence of the loss. We document them before they leave.
FRANCHISE EXPERIENCE
Why does franchise experience
matter for your claim?
The VetDry team spent years inside a large national restoration franchise, documenting and scoping losses the way carriers expect them documented and scoped. That experience came with us. We also have established working relationships with local insurance professionals and adjusters. When the paperwork is right the first time, claims move. When it is not, they stall, and the homeowner is the one waiting.

What will
VetDry not do?
We will not tell you what your policy covers, because we are not your carrier and guessing helps nobody. We will not pad a scope. We will not tell an adjuster something is wet when the meter says it is dry, and we will not tell you a structure is dry when it is not. Doing what is right for the property owner is a founding rule of this company, and it applies to the paperwork as much as the drying.
